Signature Hole – Standing on the first tee provides for a breathtaking view of a valley of orchards and a surrounding skyline of mountains of Central Pennsylvania. This is the best view and highlights this aspect of the course. The significant elevation changes of the 12th and the 18th holes make them signature examples of the unique vistas and target nature of the course.

Most Difficult – The eleventh hole is one of the longest on the course, but the difficulty of the hole is the narrow driving area left by old growth forest on the left (OB) and a series of specimen trees on the right that continues this layout to the green. Fairway bunkers restrict the landing area further; the front and to the right of the green is protected by large bunkers also. Though the green is one of the largest on the course, accurate shots on this hole are a must.

Most Interesting Hole – The sixth hole provides a unique risk/reward scenario and typifies the target nature of the course. The hole is a sharp dogleg left with specimen trees and an orchard on the left boundary. The long ball hitter may attempt to drive the ball over the dogleg, but the specimen trees are quite large. A grass bunker awaits the shot that barely clears these obstacles. Beyond the dogleg is a water hazard on the right, which makes distances control off the tee critical. The sloped green is one of the many elevated surfaces on the course and makes accuracy of the second shot important. The architecture of the hole provides for a variety of choices and strategies for players of all skill levels.
